Carola Lemne has been CEO of some of Sweden's leading hospitals and healthcare organisations. Now she is looking forward to participating in Art Clinic's expansive stage as their new Chairman.

- I like it when businesses are run by entrepreneurs who really believe in what they do. That's why I was drawn to Art Clinic," says Carola Lemne.

The Art Clinic is a specialist clinic for plastic, orthopaedic and back surgery. Carola Lemne considers the business to be a high-quality operator, not least in plastic surgery.

- It is an area that is looked over the shoulder by many and unfortunately there are some who are not quite as careful as they should be. But Art Clinic has extremely high ambitions and is serious about this," says Carola Lemne.

Carola Lemne is originally a doctor and has held a variety of roles in the healthcare industry. For 14 years she worked in the international pharmaceutical industry in Sweden, Europe and the USA. She then started as CEO of Danderyd Hospital and later became CEO of Praktikertjänst - Sweden's largest private healthcare company. For the last five years she has been CEO of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

Her long experience makes her a great asset to Art Clinic. As Chair of the Board, she is looking forward to getting closer to the business.

- The role is not just about leading the work of the board, it also acts as a coach and sounding board for the CEO. Having been a CEO myself for many years, I know that you can appreciate that dialogue," says Carola Lemne.

Art Clinic is currently in an expansive phase with both new recruitments and a major expansion in Stockholm. An important phase that Carola Lemne feels confident about.

- I have always been more interested in development than stagnation. It appeals to me to enter a stage where you have clear plans to expand, especially when it's a concept that's worth spreading," says Carola Lemne.

Carola Lemne is looking forward to seeing the company grow. But she also thinks Art Clinic should stick to old ways of working, especially when it comes to the clinic's close and personal contact with its patients.

- Right now, we all know each other, so the challenge will be to maintain our family feeling and common vision of how to treat our patients. I'm looking forward to supporting Art Clinic's work so that we can maintain that feeling as we continue to grow," concludes Carola Lemne.
