statement

MVI Fund II establishes partnerships with leading companies and creates Nordic market leaders in nurseries and related products to facilitate green urbanisation.

On 9 November, MVI is proud to announce a new group of companies in the green infrastructure and urbanisation market. Together under Treeco Holdco ("Treeco"); Stångby Nursery ("Stångby"), HPJ Garden ("HPJ") and Kortegaards Planteskole ("Kortegaards") form a strategic partnership that, in terms of size, means Nordic leadership. Together with the entrepreneurs and the group's employees, we look forward to creating a greener, healthier and more sustainable future.
Since mid-2021, MVI Fund II is in partnership with Stångby Plantskola AB ("Stångby"), a premium nursery in the Swedish market for B2B customers. In the summer of 2022, it made its first additional acquisition through a partnership with HPJ Garden AB ("HPJ"). HPJ is a high quality supplier of products in the gardening and landscaping industry. Today, the group merges with P. Kortegaards Planteskole A/S ("Kortegaards"), the Danish B2B market leader for premium trees and shrubs.

The group will be present in several locations in Sweden and Denmark to provide customers in a variety of industries with organic infrastructure products and services for green urbanisation. On an annual basis, the group is expected to have a turnover in excess of SEK 200 million and approximately 80 employees.

The Nordic market for organic plant material has shown good growth in recent years and is expected to continue to grow. Underlying market trends are municipalities' increasing ambitions for green urbanisation - through plant investments - to improve citizens' well-being, the creation of natural barriers to flooding and heat waves, and the products' ability to capture greenhouse gas emissions.

Treeco is well positioned to take advantage of future growth in underlying market trends, with significant knowledge of premium products and the ability to grow perennial crops. The group also aims to drive digitisation and create smart services for sustainable green spaces.

MVI looks forward to continuing to support the executive team and to grow Treeco as a clear market leader in the industry. All vendors remain with the group operationally and have invested alongside MVI.

Stångby Plantskola was founded in 1978 and is a market-leading nursery in the Swedish B2B market for plant material. The company is well known with a first-class reputation and an extensive range of trees and shrubs. Stångby has approximately 50 employees and operates nurseries outside Lund in Skåne, with efficient logistics facilities in the Stockholm region.

Founded in 1992, HPJ Garden is a high-quality supplier of products in the gardening and construction industry, consisting mainly of equipment and building supplies. Located in Habo, outside Jönköping with 6 employees, the company has customers all over Sweden.

Kortegaards Planteskole was founded in 1910 and is the Danish B2B market leader for trees and shrubs. The company employs 27 people and has a significant area of land on Funen where it grows high-quality trees and plants. The nursery has a modern assortment and specialises in avenue trees with more than 3,000 plant species.
