Biototal is a market leader in circular plant nutrition with a focus on the agricultural sector. Since its inception in 2006, Jan Nystedt and Tomas Kjellquist have put farmers' needs first and developed products and services for sustainable food production. The company offers its customers advice on plant nutrition and plant cultivation and supplies a wide range of natural plant nutrition products.

"We have been planning and working for strong growth since the start in 2006. After careful selection and consideration, we are convinced that MVI is the partner who can best contribute and further strengthen Biototal's development and growth!", says Tomas Kjellquist, founder of Biototal

"Looking forward to taking the next step with MVI. This is going to be fun!", says Jan Nystedt, founder of Biototal

Biototal, based in Vreta Kluster outside Linköping, has enjoyed impressive growth in recent years and is expected to generate sales of around SEK100m this year. For the next step in its journey, it has chosen to bring in a partner who can accelerate this growth even further. Since the early 1990s, MVI has been investing in small and medium-sized enterprises with the aim of acting as a catalyst for growth.

"Circular plant nutrition is a cornerstone for achieving a sustainable society. As an entrepreneur and investor, it is very exciting to work in this growth area together with the founders, management and staff of Biototal," says Stefan Karlsson, partner at MVI.
