Carola is a doctor and associate professor at Karolinska Institutet. Carola has many years of experience from the international pharmaceutical industry, and has also been CEO of Danderyd Hospital, Praktikertjänst and most recently the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

Carola is currently the chairperson of IRLAB and Ung Företagsamhet Sverige, and also serves on the boards of Arjo, Terveystalo, Sophiahemmet, and the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation.

She has extensive board experience from companies such as Getinge, Apoteket AB, MEDA, Investor, AFA Insurance, Alecta, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, and has been the chairperson for Uppsala University, Art Clinic, and Internationella Engelska Skolan.
