Carola is a doctor and associate professor at Karolinska Institutet. Carola has many years of experience from the international pharmaceutical industry, and has also been CEO of Danderyd Hospital, Praktikertjänst and most recently the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

Carola is currently chair of ArtClinic, the International English School and Ung Företagsamhet Sverige, and also sits on the boards of Arjo, IRLAB and the King Gustaf V Jubilee Foundation. She has extensive board experience from Getinge, Apoteket AB, MEDA, Investor, AFA Försäkringar, Alecta and Stiftelsen för Strategisk Forskning, among others, and has been chairman of Uppsala University.
