statement

MVI, a leading Swedish investment company, enters into a partnership with Ametalis and simultaneously acquires the consulting companies Westberg and Natur og Samfunn. The investment aligns with MVI's strategy to support growth companies driven by underlying trends in urbanization & social change, circularity, and digitalization – marking the start of a new Nordic platform for environmental technology and sustainability-promoting services.

The new group brings together specialist operations in both Sweden and Norway and offers a wide range of services that help companies in industry and infrastructure navigate complex environmental and sustainability challenges. With a continued strong focus on quality and expertise, the companies are well-positioned to grow together. MVI looks forward to supporting founder Kim Lehmusvuori and the rest of Ametalis' leadership team in their continued successful work to build a leading Nordic group within Ametalis.

"We see a rapidly growing need for qualified environmental and sustainability services. By bringing together these three companies, we are creating a strong platform for growth in a fragmented and socially important sector," said Mårten Werner, Partner at MVI.

"Ametalis was founded to bring together the Nordic region's leading entrepreneurs in environmental and sustainability services. With MVI as the new majority shareholder, we gain a strong partnership for continued growth. Together, we can increase the pace of acquisitions, expand our offerings, and strengthen our position in the Nordic region." – Kim Lehmusvuori, CEO of Ametalis.

About the Companies

Envima is a strategic partner for companies that want to develop sustainable and profitable operations. The company offers consulting and support in three main areas: sustainability, environment, and law. In the sustainability area, Envima provides business development that integrates climate and environmental considerations, while the environmental field focuses on environmental permit assessments, ISO management systems, and environmental technical investigations. The company also offers legal advice and regulatory monitoring to help clients comply with and track relevant regulations.

Westberg was founded by two brothers with expertise in vibration measurement and environmental monitoring, and has successfully expanded its operations across Sweden. The company is active in construction and infrastructure projects where environmental impact caused by vibrations is present. The company offers services such as risk analysis, vibration measurement, property inspections, noise measurements, and water sampling.

Natur og Samfunn is a consulting company based in Trondheim, working with environmental investigations and fieldwork throughout Norway. They offer services in nature mapping, impact assessments, environmental monitoring, and water-related studies.

Envima, Westberg, and Natur og Samfunn will retain their strong brands but will also gain access to new resources and collaboration opportunities within the group. The sellers and management teams will remain active in the business, with MVI as a committed partner in accelerating growth and further development.
